Tottenham Hotspur FC officially announced that Fun88 has been appointed as the club’s Official Betting Partner in the territories of Asia and Latin America. This is the second time when the Asian online gaming company partners with the UK football club.
The Head of Partnerships division at Tottenham Hotspur Fran Jones confirmed the deal and revealed that everyone were very pleased to welcome the Asian gaming company back as one of the official partners of the club.
As announced by Tottenham Hotspur, the deal was signed for a period of two years and will see the two parties work in collaboration once again. Their previous partnership dates back to 2012, when the football club signed another 2-year deal with the company. Under the terms of the agreement, Fun88 will be engaged with the club’s supporters in Asia and Latin America providing them with a variety of both land-based and online betting activities.
The online gaming company was established eight years ago. It is engaged in providing customers with live casinos, slots and keno games, as well as with sports betting options that are available in a number of languages. Fun88 has managed to built a strong marketing presence in Asia and Latin America, where Tottenham Hotspur currently have more than 200 million fans.
The deal is considered to be initiated due to constantly increasing global fanbase of the football club, as the latter has been recently focused on enhancing the reach to its supporters through various multi-language digital channels. Up to date, Tottenham Hotspur have supports digital channels in Spanish, Chinese, Thai, Korean and Malay as an addition to their international offering.
Partnerships division Chief Mr. Jones also explained that the “continued growth” of Tottenham Hotspur’s fanbase on a global scale made the club an attractive target for various brands that were focused on international sports fans. According to him, the digital channels of the club would provide Fun88 with “an ideal platform” that would help it expand in the regions of Asia and Latin America.
Under the agreement, the Asian gaming operator Fun88 will be provided with the chance to advertise its products across these channels. In addition, in-stadium branding of the company will be available at the UK football club.
Fun88’s Nathan Walker also commented on the 2-year deal, saying the team of the company was delighted to reunite with Tottenham Hotspur and ink the agreement. He explained that the previous collaboration of the two parties had a positive impact on Fun88’s reputation and its positions in the industry’s market, so everyone at the company were looking forward to engage with the supporters of the club.
